G.J. Normand started Advanced Cosmetic Techniques in 1985 and trained her daughter, Jennifer. Together they quickly became popular around the country for their work. G.J. and Jennifer would go on to make TV appearances on Oprah Winfrey, Joan Rivers, Montel Williams and more; speak at conventions and train artists from all over to share their unmatched knowledge and experience. After decades of amazing work and playing a major role in developing the industry, G.J. retired and Jennifer trained her daughter Ariel and son Hunter to Advanced Cosmetic Techniques\u2019 incredibly high standard of quality and customer satisfaction. When Advanced Cosmetic Techniques started there weren\u2019t many companies making a wide range of tattoo ink colors, they had to go into the business of producing their own to ensure every client could have exactly what they were looking for. For many years, artists all around the country bought our ink because of its excellent results. Even with our base colors, a true permanent makeup artist must have the knowledge to mix custom colors tailored to each individual client\u2019s skin tone, hair color, and desired appearance. Advanced Cosmetic Techniques has since stopped selling our ink but we continue to be one of the only studios in the country with the knowledge and skills to produce our custom colors. Microblading is a newer service that is not real permanent make-up although it is often advertised as such. Microblading is done in the top layer of skin (epidermis) and lasts between 1-3 years before you are left with a grey pink smudge and you must pay to constantly have it redone. Real permanent make-up is tattooed second layer of skin (dermis) and will last significantly longer before it needs a touch up.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

We use numbing agents in the area we are working on. This results in little to no pain at all.
